Automation & Launch – Phase #2
Automation & Launch, Phase 2 of the 26-Week Internet Marketing Plan starts to build in a few tasks that need to be done every week from then on as part of your action plan. This phase of the plan also introduces website technology which helps to replicate the effect of your future activity, therefore helping to automate your Internet marketing over the coming few months.
An essential element of Phase 2 is adding a feature-rich blog to your website, and adding new content to that blog once a week at the very, very least. Don’t be put off by the fact that you may think that a blog is no more than an online journal. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Think of a blog as a highly effective content management system which automatically makes other websites aware as soon as you publish a new page. The style of content or page design has nothing to do with whether or not it is a blog.
When your blog is set up correctly, whenever you publish a new blog post (which doesn’t have to have comments on it) post will automatically appear on 50 to 100 other websites through blog technology which I’ll show you how to set up and use.
Remember – with inbuild tools like RSS feeds, blog & RSS directories and access to blog communities, a blog is simply a useful piece of technology that really multiplies the effect of your online marketing.
Another essential aspect of Phase 2 is to start collecting the names and email addresses of your prospective customers and offer email updates. You need to build up an email list. You need to build up an opt-in list of names and email addresses so that you reduce your reliance on other online marketing mediums in the future.
The final part of Phase 2 focuses on launching your website effectively using online press releases and pay per click campaigns. Online press releases can have a tremendous effect in driving initial traffic to your site. If you have got the ‘stickiness’ right on your site (the tools on your site that encourage visitors to stay longer or come back again) then both press releases and pay-per-click marketing are essential launch tools.
Remember – if you haven’t done so already, make sure you start by subscribing to our free 26-Week Internet Marketing Plan newsletter.
